The short version

Dexty uses information you provide and information from accounts you choose to connect to keep track of your tasks, commitments, notes and replies. Connecting an account lets Dexty read what it needs to do that. Dexty sends, changes or deletes something in a connected account only when you approve that specific action.

Information Dexty handles

Account information

When you sign in, Dexty receives basic account information needed to identify you and keep your session secure. Signing in with Google does not, by itself, give Dexty access to Gmail.

Things you add

Tasks, notes, corrections, instructions, approvals and anything else you choose to enter.

Connected accounts

If you connect an account, Dexty may process messages, events, participants, attachments and related details that account makes available. What Dexty can access depends on the connection you choose and its permissions.

Product and technical information

Dexty creates working information such as tasks, plans, draft replies, action records and links back to their sources. It also handles the technical data needed to run and protect the service, including session, sync, diagnostic and security information.

How the information is used

• To keep your tasks, commitments and day up to date.
• To prepare summaries, next steps and replies for your review.
• To carry out an action in a connected account only after you approve it.
• To operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve Dexty.
• To respond to support, privacy and deletion requests.

Google user data

If you connect Gmail, Google Calendar or Google Drive, Dexty accesses only what the features below need:

• Gmail (read, and send): the messages in your mailbox, including senders, recipients, subjects, bodies and attachments, to find what you've been asked, what you've promised and what others owe you, and to prepare replies for you. Dexty sends an email only when you approve that exact message.
• Google Calendar (your calendar list, and events): to see your schedule, prepare you for meetings and find free time, and to add or change an event, reply to an invitation or invite the people you agreed a meeting with, each only after you approve it.
• Google Drive (read only): to open a Google Doc, Sheet, Slides or file only when a link to it appears in your messages or your request. Dexty never browses your Drive and never changes anything in it.

Dexty uses Google user data only to provide and improve the features you use in Dexty. It does not sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to determine credit-worthiness or for lending. People don't read your Google data unless you ask us to (for example, for support), it's needed for security or to comply with the law, or it has been aggregated and anonymized for internal operations.

To understand your messages and prepare drafts, Dexty sends the relevant parts of your Google data to AI service providers that process it on Dexty's behalf, only to provide your features. Dexty does not use Google user data to develop, improve or train generalized or non-personalized AI or machine learning models.

Dexty's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You can stop Dexty's access at any time by disconnecting the account in Dexty, or by removing Dexty at myaccount.google.com/permissions. To delete what Dexty holds from your Google account, ask through Give feedback in Dexty; we act on deletion requests within 30 days.

Services involved

Dexty uses service providers for hosting, database storage, sign-in and processing. When you connect another service, Dexty exchanges information with it to provide the connection you asked for. Dexty passes along only the context a task needs, rather than keeping your connected accounts as a second archive.

Dexty does not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

Storage, retention and deletion

Dexty keeps the information it needs to provide the service for as long as you use it, or until you ask for it to be deleted. Raw data from connected accounts is not kept as a separate long-term archive. Limited operational and audit records may remain where needed for security and accountability, without keeping private message content once it is no longer needed.

Disconnecting an account stops future access but does not delete what Dexty already learned from it. You can ask for your account, or information from a particular connection, to be deleted. Deletion also covers the notes and search indexes Dexty built from that information, subject to narrow security or legal retention needs.

Encryption, cookies and security

The credentials for your connected accounts are encrypted, and information travels over secure connections. Dexty uses one essential session cookie to keep you signed in and does not use advertising cookies. We take technical and organizational measures to protect your information, but no online service can promise absolute security.

Your choices

You can disconnect an account, correct information in Dexty, or ask to access or delete information associated with your account. Send the request through Give feedback in Dexty while signed in to that account, so we know it is yours.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice as Dexty and its connections develop. The effective date at the top changes when the notice does.
